The Canning Kid: Bubble top from Canada

Let’s start this week with a car from a slightly different part of North America called The Canning Kid, which was built by Chad Hills, owner of Green Goblin Customs in Canning. Not to be confused with The California Kid, it’s a completely different car.

Chad has been working on cars for about ten years, and although his profile is restoration, he finds true pleasure in radically customizing cars. At the time of The Canning Kid’s construction, he already had six complete projects and many chop-tops on his account.

You’d expect to see cars like The Canning Kid in the Southern California area’s custom mecca, but not in Canning. Comrade Hills believes that it is quite possible that The Canning Kid is, in principle, the first bubble top built in Canada.

Unfortunately, there is very little information about the car itself. It’s a 1934 Ford. Most likely, it was impossible to determine the model from the beginning, since the car’s body was found in the forest, and it was cut in half. With an axe. There were no doors, trunk, rear panels, floor, and a large oil barrel served as a roof. In other words, The Canning Kid started from nothing.

And you can only admire what happened as a result. And considering that this is one of Chad’s early projects, it’s worth at least mentally applauding such a talent.
