There's an article about a Ford with a V6 engine from Alfa Romeo.

Ford Hot rod with Alfa Romeo V6 engine

This hot rod has been around since at least 2004, and it belongs to those cars that persistently remain in the shadows. Fortunately, it has been put up for sale at least three times in 16 years, and therefore fans of unusual cars managed to accumulate a number of photos and some information about this miracle of technology.

So, here we have a 1927 Ford, the filling of which consists of half of the Alfa Romeo GTV6. The rear seats of an Italian car are installed in the cabin, and from what is not visible to the eye, you can note a five-speed manual transmission. Moreover, the main transmission is located in the same housing with the rest of the mechanism – this is the so-called transaxle, which is not so common in hot rods.

But, of course, the first thing that catches your eye is the powertrain: a six-cylinder V-shaped engine with an overhead camshaft – I think it’s not worth saying how unusual such an engine looks in a classic hot rod with flames and pinstripes. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the detailed engine specifications, and I don’t know much about Italian engines myself. Nevertheless, I would venture to assume that we have a 2.5-liter V6 in front of us – probably from the same Alfa Romeo GTV6, from which all other parts were removed. If this is the case, then this engine produced 160 horsepower as standard.

Of the remaining details, the mention of an independent torsion bar suspension at the front is of particular interest – I can’t say for sure, but it seems to me that this is another part of the Italian car. Apart from the torsion bars, everything is quite standard for a modern hot rod: rear suspension on coilovers, disc brakes, custom steel frame and custom exhaust manifolds. And… that’s all we know about this car. Except that in one of the ads for sale, which was also saved by one of the car enthusiasts, the seller shared a little personal impressions of the car, which he owned for eight years.

In particular, excellent handling is mentioned compared to many other hot rods. This Ford is described as an extremely responsive, balanced and nimble car. It is also said that the engine cannot be overheated, plus it does not eat too much fuel, and at the same time the car is fast and sporty enough. And a separate phrase says: very convenient. It would seem, why sell such a car? Well, the following lines from the same announcement clarify the situation somewhat.:

“There are no doors, so you have to lift your leg up high to get inside. Your wife won’t like it. There is no roof, and it gets very windy at highway speed. Your wife won’t like it. It costs 15,000 and is not practical. Your wife won’t like it. Italian transmission. Your friends might not like it.”

Draw your own conclusions. And I hope you liked the car.
