And now it’s a classic. Cocktail Screwdriver. Probably, everyone knows at least approximately how to make it, but I’ll write down the official proportions from IBA.:
1 part vodka
2 parts of orange juice
Mix all the ingredients and pour them over ice into a tall glass.
My notes:
The recipe from IBA is simple and good for everyone, but to be honest, I personally prefer a slightly different version of the recipe for this cocktail. It sounds like this: 1 part vodka, 1 part orange juice and 1 part orange soda (classic Fanta is great). The differences from the version without juice are as follows: your screwdriver turns out to be a little sweeter, plus the taste as a whole becomes somewhat… fuller.
Of course, everything in this cocktail depends on the oranges, but I bet you can hardly find slightly sweet, rich-tasting oranges anywhere in Russia. They’re all a bit bland, anyway. Therefore, in my opinion, soda is necessary.
But, nevertheless, for the first time, be sure to try just vodka with juice. There is nothing to spoil such a vitamin-rich drink with such a harmful soda if there is no reason for it. Your health.
