Kendall Jenner (Kendall Nicole Jenner) is an American top model, a famous and beautiful girl. Date of birth: November 3, 1995 (Scorpio). Height 179 cm, weight 54 kg. Dark hair, brown eyes. Model parameters: 84/61/89. She is not very well known here, but in the USA she is one of the most popular models and influencers with 288 million (!) Instagram followers. Jenner is a poster girl for the modern generation. Since the age of 11, she has been in the attention of the tabloids and the press, as she is the eldest of Kris Jenner’s two daughters from the Kardashian family (i.e. Kendall has Armenian roots), starred in a family reality show, but did not show much interest in it. Since the age of 15, she has been involved in the modeling business and first appeared on the runway at a prom show.
She built one of the most successful modeling careers, was the face of campaigns for all major brands, from Prada to Lagerfeld, inspired by such 90s supermodels as Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford. Turlington is particularly admired by her—not only as “the most gorgeous woman who ever existed,” as Jenner puts it, but also as a supermodel who somehow seemed to float above or be separated from the world she lived in, and who, when the time came, left. to focus on education, fashion, and charity. “I spent a lot of time looking at her face as a kid,” Jenner recalls. “She seemed so calm and collected. I really appreciate her energy in all of this. And it seems that life outside of the modeling business and family was very important to her.”
She is also engaged in entrepreneurship – in 2021, Jenner founded a tequila brand called 818 Tequila and 1.5 million bottles were sold in the first 7 months. Balancing multiple endeavors is fraught with challenges, but she enjoys the effort it takes to be on top.:
“I’ve learned to be a leader and realize that my energy affects everyone else’s energy. It’s about keeping yourself positive, inspiring, and really motivated to work. I want everyone to always feel inspired, so I’m learning to play this role and be that person for the whole team.”
The story of Kendall Jenner’s modeling career and overcoming psychological problems
Jenner was the most shy and quiet of all the children in the family. She enjoyed being alone and riding horses, but she struggled to establish relationships with her peers. Jenner believes that she has suffered from anxiety since she was seven years old, although she did not have a name for this feeling at the time. She often approached her mother, complaining of difficulty breathing, and it was difficult for her to calm her down. “I was an emotional child, always in my feelings and thoughts,” she recalls. “I was a little scared.” Much later, she learned that these sudden outbursts of fear, accompanied by a mix of physical symptoms, were panic attacks.
Fashion had cured her of her shyness, as she had hoped. “I remember being that awkward kid at the beginning of my modeling career and thinking to myself that I was going to get out of this soon,” she says. “But this job requires communication—with photographers, stylists and creative directors all day—and that’s how it all started to work out. Now, as a rule, I talk very emotionally about my friendships. I still find myself at big social events, but now I have the most incredible group of friends, and when I was a kid, I just didn’t have one. I am very attached to the people in my life. I like meeting new people, I like holding on to people from my past. I’m the exact opposite of the super-shy kid I was.”
But after a year or two of her modeling career, the panic attacks returned. Air travel is the bane of those who hate giving up control. “I remember having these seizures on planes,” she says. “They appeared out of nowhere. I thought, “Oh my God, something is wrong with my heart: tachycardia, shortness of breath, dizziness, double vision, tingling. All that. I called my mom, crying hysterically, and said, “I need them to stop the plane, I need them to turn around.”
Since then, Jenner has created an impressive arsenal of tools to protect her well-being: deep breathing, distraction, meditation, keeping a diary, weekly psychotherapy, periodic consultations with a spiritual healer. It’s been over 2 years since her last panic attack.
Responsibility, compromises, the “return of Saturn”, which means the milestone of 27-29.5 years — there is no escape from the severity of adulthood. But there are shelters, and for Jenner, access to her childhood self has become the cornerstone of her practice. “In therapy, you talk about your childhood,” she says, “and I have an exercise where I paste my childhood photos on the bathroom mirror, and if I start talking badly to myself, I go talk to her. If someone has treated me badly and I take it too hard, I go, look at her and say: I will never let this happen to you again. I’m talking to her, no matter how freaky it sounds.”
Excerpts from Kendall Jenner’s interview for W Magazine
What are the highlights of your career at the moment?
My whole first season was very important to me. I was completely shocked by the shows I received, such as Chanel and Marc Jacobs. I just felt very flattered. These shows are so large—scale – I was thrilled with the amount of effort that was put into them. Everything was so monumental and so spectacular.
Are there any designers who are important people in your life?
People who really believed in me the first time: Ricardo Tisci, Karl Lagerfeld and Marc Jacobs.
Your style has attracted a lot of attention, and lately people have been saying that you embody the trend of “quiet luxury.” How would you describe your personal aesthetic?
If you go back in time, I think you can find that this aspect has always been in my style. But I’ve also tried to be very versatile throughout my life. I like the elegance of certain things, but I also stick to a light, comfortable style. I like tight-waisted things, but I also like looser clothes. I often look at Jane Birkin. She was so cool and elegant, and she had so much sex appeal. Sometimes she would wear something transparent and her chest and body would be exposed, and I like that kind of stuff. She really wasn’t afraid to take risks.
Your job involves a lot of traveling. How do you manage to keep your balance when you spend half your time on the plane?
I always find time for friends. Traveling for a long time can make me feel lonely, but communicating with people helps me stay on earth and feel happy.
Which places do you like the most when you’re not working?
Somewhere where no one can find me. Somewhere in a very remote place where I live as normal a life as possible; that’s where I want to be.

Kendall Jenner in Life
“It’s absolutely true that not every day is magical,” Jenner reflects. “Sometimes the reality of life is that you just relax. If it’s Sunday and you have nothing to do and no one is calling you, please enjoy it. People think that life should consist of such grandiose moments, and especially on social media, a lot of people imagine their lives like: “All these amazing things are happening to me, and I’m doing it all!” No. That’s what I have to remind myself of. Not every day should be a party. Some days should be relaxed.”
